Kwem or kpwem recipe

  • Preparation: 30 minutes
  • Cooking: 1 hour

Ingredients 

  • 1 packet of cassava leaves
  • 2 heaps of palm nuts
  • 4 ripe bananas

Preparation

  • Peel your bananas and mix them finely. Put your cassava leaves in a saucepan and add a glass of water. Toss to prevent the leaves from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the banana, mix again
  • Cook for 20 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the leaves from sticking to the pan
  • Pour the palm juice into the leaves, stir so as to have a homogeneous preparation and cook again for 20 minutes over low heat
  • Serve with cassava or macabo
