Detox drinks are made up of one or more plants with purifying, detoxifying, draining, diuretic or laxative effects.

The goal

Their objective is to eliminate toxins and waste by purifying the emunctory organs, namely: the liver; the intestines; kidneys; lungs and skin to allow them to eliminate in the best possible way.

Why do a detox?

Our organs can be overloaded for several reasons such as: industrial food; salt; sugar; bad fats; colorants and preservatives; medication ; external pollution and toxins produced by our body.

Of course, detox drinks won't work miracles, but at least they will help reduce toxins in your body.

How often to do a cure?

The cures are generally between one to three weeks once a year.

It is advisable to do your detox cure during seasonal changes, especially during spring and autumn, but also at the end of the cycle in women or at menopause to promote the elimination of waste caused by major hormonal changes. 

NB: It is important to take into account the opinion of a health professional before starting a detox cure.

Without further ado, let's move on to the different drinks:

Slimming detox juice with spirulina


This spirulina-based detox juice is ideal for refueling energy in the first part of the day. Its high protein content gives it interesting satiating properties as part of a slimming detox diet.

Ingredients:

  • A handful of baby spinach;
  • 1/2 stalk of celery;
  • 1/2 banana;
  • 100ml coconut water;
  • 1 C. tablespoons of spirulina.

préparation:

  • Carefully wash all vegetables;
  • mix all the ingredients together until you obtain a homogeneous detox vegetable juice;
  • if necessary, you can add a little coconut water;
  • enjoy without delay.

Slimming benefits of this spirulina detox juice

Coconut water has a very strong thirst-quenching power. In addition, its richness in nutrients is very interesting.

In this juice, the spirulina allows to have a high content of proteins, iron and micronutrients which gives a satiating drink and which naturally allows to regulate food intake.

Finally, the banana and the spinach are respectively rich in potassium and fiber and bring a very particular slimming interest to the mixture.

Kidney detox juice with watermelon and lemon

Ingredients

  •   200ml fresh watermelon juice
  • 1 peeled lime

Preparation 

Just mix these two ingredients together (in a juicer) to enjoy this delicious juice, rich in mineral salts, vitamin C and potassium.

This drink will have a diuretic action and will promote the natural cleansing process of the kidneys to eliminate waste and kidney stones. Consume this drink preferably in the morning (on an empty stomach) and try to drink it every day for a week to enjoy all its benefits.

A detoxifying water with apple and cinnamon to cleanse the liver 

Ingredients:

  • French Fries
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks

préparation:

  1. Cut the apples into thin slices
  2. place them in a bottle with 2 or 3 cinnamon sticks, a few ice cubes and 4 or 5 glasses of water.
  3. Put the bottle in the fridge for 15 minutes, then sip.

This liver detox drink burns calories and breaks down gallstones. This is because apples contain malic acid which helps soften gallstones, making them easier to pass.

Pineapple Lemongrass Detox Drink

 

 Ingredients:

  • 1 ananas
  • 1 business lemongrass
  • 1 liter water 

préparation:

  1. Plunge the pineapple skin and the lemongrass cut into pieces in boiling water.
  2. Cover and let infuse for 30 minutes.
  3. Then pour the drink into a container of your choice with the skin and the lemongrass.
  4. Then place it in the fridge for at least 2 hours before consuming it at will.
It is possible to heat the drink to consume it lukewarm.

Lemon ginger turmeric detox drink

ingredients:

  • 550 ml of boiling water
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 2 cm gingers peeled and sliced
  • 1/8 vs. turmeric in powder
  • 2 vs. honey optional

preparation

  • Bring the water to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat and add the lemon, ginger and turmeric.
  • Leave to infuse for 30 minutes.
  • Strain and drink at room temperature or warmed up if left for tomorrow.
  • Drink preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.
